Taylor Swift celebrated her 34th birthday in style this week, hosting a celebrity-packed party at The Box in New York.
For the occasion, Swift turned to one of the fashion set’s favorite partywear designers: the London-based Clio Peppiatt. The singer stepped out in the brand’s ‘Night Lucina’ mini dress; a shimmering black fitted dress covered in Swarovski crystals, featuring celestial imagery from the night sky – perhaps a knowing nod to her Midnights album, which was released last year. The dress is made in a stretch mesh with a softly flared skirt with a slit, making it perfect for dancing the night away in.
Swift added a towering pair of platform heels (currently on sale) and a sequin bag, both by Aquazzura, with Messika jewellery, and kept warm with the addition of an Anine Bing faux fur jacket. She finished her look with a festive red lip and matching pedicure.

Clio Peppiatt, who previously worked on the design team at Alexander McQueen, is known for her signature mini dresses covered in glittering embellishment. She launched her own label in 2015 and has slowly built a cult following of fans – including Ashley Graham, Kim Kardashian and Lily Allen – who adore her playful designs. With a focus on craftsmanship and use of sustainable fabrics, Peppiatt also draws all her embellishment and embroidery patterns by hand, like the star and moon motifs seen on Swift’s dress.
The singer’s ‘Night Lucina’ dress also comes in a daytime version, with a sparkling yellow sunshine; a dusk option, in soothing blue and purple shades; and a frosty, festive (or bridal) ivory with delicate pearls.

Swift’s birthday guestlist included celebrity friends such as Blake Lively – who also opted for a classic LBD for the occasion, in a leather Michael Kors dress and knee-high boots. Gigi Hadid was also spotted leaving, wearing satin cargo trousers and cut-out knitwear, while the actor Miles Teller and his actress wife Keleigh Sperry were also invited, along with sisters Este and Alana Haim.
